In this study, we have proposed an automated classification approach to identify meaningful patterns in wind field data. Utilizing an extensive simulated wind database, we have demonstrated that the proposed approach can identify low‐level jets, near‐uniform profiles, and other patterns in a reliable manner. We have studied the dependence of these wind profile patterns on locations (eg, offshore vs onshore), seasons, and diurnal cycles. Furthermore, we have found that the probability distributions of some of the patterns depend on the underlying planetary boundary layer schemes in a significant way. The future potential of the proposed approach in wind resource assessment and, more generally, in mesoscale model parameterization improvement is touched upon in this paper. 相似文献

Accurate numerical evaluation of integrals arising in the boundary element method is fundamental to achieving useful results via this solution technique. In this paper, a number of techniques are considered to evaluate the weakly singular integrals which arise in the solution of Laplace's equation in three dimensions and Poisson's equation in two dimensions. Both are two‐dimensional weakly singular integrals and are evaluated using (in a product fashion) methods which have recently been used for evaluating one‐dimensional weakly singular integrals arising in the boundary element method. The methods used are based on various polynomial transformations of conventional Gaussian quadrature points where the transformation polynomial has zero Jacobian at the singular point. Methods which split the region of integration into sub‐regions are considered as well as non‐splitting methods. In particular, the newly introduced and highly accurate generalized composite subtraction of singularity and non‐linear transformation approach (GSSNT) is applied to various two‐dimensional weakly singular integrals. A study of the different methods reveals complex relationships between transformation orders, position of the singular point, integration kernel and basis function. 在多业务无线移动通信系统的呼叫接入控制中,不仅要考虑业务之间的优先级,同时也必须考虑切换呼叫的优先级。本文结合可移动边界算法和保护信道策略,提出了一种有效的多业务呼叫接入控制算法。为了方便地分析方案的性能,设计了一个二维的Markov链对方案的性能进行理论上的分析。通过数值分析结果表明,提出的算法同时保证了两种优先级,并提高了系统的性能。1 相似文献

A model was developed to predict the change in droplet mass and temperature when it is exposed to hot air, as in spray drying of droplets containing solids. The droplet was assumed first to undergo sensible rapid heating with no mass change. Then the droplet experiences some shrinkage, with no temperature change but rapid mass losses, followed by a period of crust formation with a significant change in droplet mass and temperature and finally a short period of sensible heating of the dried particle. The model, unlike previous models, accounts for shrinkage and for the temperature distribution in the droplet. It provided a good prediction for the change in droplet temperature and mass for some of the experimental measurements available in the literatures. 相似文献

The objective is to have uniformly distributed tangential stresses on the transition profile of a stepped bar subjected to tensile and torsional loading using an axisymmetric boundary element formulation. The transition curve is represented by the Langragian interpolation polynomial with progressive degrees to avoid shape distortion during the optimization procedure. The calculated result is compared with that obtained by fluid dynamics given in the literature. It is seen that the transition curve obtained in this paper is reasonable. 相似文献
